The Princess is the player character in Sailor Moon Tokyoma Gaiden: Moonlight Memories. Her name is chosen by the player. She is referred to as The Heroine in the instruction manual. While she resided in Pinako Aino's body, she was referred to as Dyana, by Shady and Youko. This is a video game depiction of Queen Serenity, a character from the Sailor Moon manga and anime. She is a silent protagonist, with the exception of one scene in the game. In the English version of the game, she is instead referred to as a Queen.
Biography[edit | ]
The Princess often snuck out of the palace to spend time at the Battlegrounds, with the citizens, particularly Katermies and Aries, who were initially unaware of her royalty. After returning to the palace one night, she found the sage, Demoniser, now in possession of the Chaos Crystal, had attacked the palace and demanded the Silver Crystal. The Princess's attendant, Luna, gave the Princess the Silver Crystal and told him to run. She could not escape and was confronted by Demoniser, who demanded the Silver Crystal. The Princess Dueled him in an attempt to escape. After losing, Luna convinced the Princess to shatter the Silver Crystal.
After shattering the Silver Crystal, Luna sealed the Princess and her spirit inside it. She remained there, asleep for millennia, until Pinako Aino entered a Knights & Guardians competition, hosted by Val The Csar. Shady and Youko, holders of the Time Crystal and Space Crystal appeared and said that they came because of Pinako's Silver Crystal. Youko used the Space Crystal to open Pinako's mind, where she could meet the Princess. The Princess gave Pinako six cards and although she did not speak, Pinako understood what she wanted of her. Pinako defeated all the present day holders of the Crystals of Power in the tournament, each time sealing their Crystal in one of the cards. Using the six cards, Pinako was able to send the Princess home.
When the Princess arrived home, the sages had taken over the area. She headed to the Shrine of the Moon, in search of the Destroyed Golden Ruins. Here she met Sindin, who recognized her as Princess, but did not know the location of the Ruins. So the Princess returned to the palace, which was in ruins. After confronting and defeating a Sage Soldier there, the Princess found a map to the Destroyed Golden Ruins. The Princess returned to the Shrine of the Moon, where Sindin escorted her to the ruins. There she found a map and met Balthasar, who informed her the map showed the location of where Demoniser had hidden the Items, and told her of his plans to betray Demoniser.
After defeating two of the High Sages, the Princess met Aries, who told him that the sages had kidnapped Katermies and led her to the Vast Shrine. After passing through the labyrinth, facing Labyrinth Sages, at wrong turns, they found Katermies held hostage by Balthasar and Demoniser. Demoniser ordered Balthasar to defeat the Princess and take the Silver Crystal. The Princess defeated Balthasar, but was confused when Balthasar applauded her and said that the High Sages do not stand a chance against her. Katermies was released and she, the Princess and Aries left.
The Princess proceeded to defeat the High Sages and acquire all Crystals of Power bar the Chaos Crystal, which was held by Balthasar. After doing so she met Balthasar, who told her to go to the Sun Shrine, where he would lead her to Demoniser. There, the Princess defeated the Guardians Noble and Hiram, before finding and defeating Demoniser.
After Demoniser's defeat, Balthasar took the Princess to the Destroyed Golden Ruins, where he explained that he used her to gather all the Crystals. He told her how the Crystals of Power could be used to summon an even greater power. As Balthasar is about to claim that power, Demoniser appeared and put a knife to Balthasar's neck, demanding the Crystals. The Princess handed over the Crystals, which Demoniser used to Summon Grand Dragon. Grand Dragon refused to obey Demoniser and turns him into a card, which he incinerated. Using the Crystal Cards, the Princess held back Grand Dragon and faced him in a Battle, to send him back where he came from. When the Princess won, Grand Dragon turned into Dark Dragon and demanded a final Battle. The Princess played on and defeated Dark Dragon.
Afterwards, the Princess ruled the Silver Millennium as the Queen, and had the Destroyed Golden Ruins buried in order to protect mankind.
